Each of the five books starts with a chapter of lesson plans which is followed by eight social stories. Each story comes with four colored pictures and accompanying sentence strips. Students role-play the wrong ways to act in addition to the right ways with each story. The program is structured to introduce one story lesson each week. There are lessons plans for each day that include suggestions for simplifying the program for lower-functioning students.
